Terms of
Service.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

IF YOU ARE IN IMMEDIATE DANGER, CALL 911. SAFE MODE+ CANNOT CONTACT EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR YOU.

Please read these terms before using SafeMode+. They explain the service, your responsibilities, and important safety limitations.

1. Agreement and the service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to SafeMode+, a personal safety and check-in service provided by GDA Innovations LLC (“SafeMode+,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

SafeMode+ offers features such as safety check-ins, emergency-contact notifications, location sharing where enabled, and family or child-device features. Features may change, be unavailable, or depend on device settings, permissions, network access, and third-party services.

2. SMS/MMS consent and messaging

By creating an account, users agree to receive SMS/MMS messages for verification, emergency alerts, and service notifications. These messages may include one-time passcodes (OTPs), account or service notices, and alerts initiated by you or by configured safety features. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services where prohibited by law.

You may reply STOP to opt out of supported messages and HELP for help. Opting out may prevent verification or safety notifications from reaching you and may limit related features. Carrier participation and message delivery are not guaranteed. Do not rely on SMS as your only safety channel.

SafeMode+ uses third-party messaging providers to submit messages. A submission or queued status is not proof that a message was delivered or read. Emergency contacts should be told what messages they may receive, and their permission must be obtained before you add them for notifications.

3. Phone verification and OTPs

We or our authentication providers may send a verification code to confirm a phone number or help authenticate an account. Enter the code only in the SafeMode+ flow that requested it. A code is temporary, may expire, and must not be shared with another person. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and account. Verification confirms access to a number at that time; it does not establish a person’s identity or guarantee that the number remains under your control.

4. Emergency contacts and safety alerts

You are responsible for adding accurate, current contact details and obtaining each contact’s informed permission before sending them safety notifications. Let your contacts know that messages may be sent by SMS, email, or other enabled channels, what those messages mean, and that they may contain personal information such as your name or location when you have enabled or initiated that feature.

Review and update your contacts when circumstances change. SafeMode+ may limit alert activity to help prevent abuse. An alert can fail, be delayed, be blocked, or reach an outdated number. SafeMode+ does not independently verify recipients or guarantee a response.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information and keep your phone number, contacts, and device permissions current.
  • Use the service lawfully and only with authority to share the information you provide.
  • Obtain consent from emergency contacts and any person whose information or location you share.
  • Protect your device, verification codes, and account access; promptly address suspected unauthorized use.
  • Understand the service’s limitations and maintain another way to contact people or emergency services.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use SafeMode+ to harass, threaten, stalk, surveil, impersonate, or harm anyone; access or track a person or device without valid authorization and consent; submit false or misleading emergency alerts; interfere with the service or its security; reverse engineer or abuse the service; or violate any law, carrier rule, or third-party right. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect people, or comply with law.

7. Safety and emergency-service disclaimer

IF YOU ARE IN IMMEDIATE DANGER, CALL 911. SAFE MODE+ CANNOT CONTACT EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR YOU.

SafeMode+ is not an emergency-response service, and it does not replace 911 or your local emergency number, professional monitoring, or direct contact with emergency responders. The service does not guarantee that an alert will be sent, received, or acted upon, and a notification is not a request for emergency services. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services directly.

Alerts, messages, and location updates may fail, be delayed, or be inaccurate due to carrier, device, or network conditions. Location information may also be stale or unavailable due to environmental factors. Do not assume an alert or location is current or complete.

SafeMode+ does not guarantee that any person will respond to an alert or provide assistance. GDA Innovations LLC is not responsible for emergency outcomes, delays, or failures to act.

8. Data and third-party services

SafeMode+ processes information to operate account, verification, check-in, family, and notification features. This may include account identifiers, phone numbers, emergency-contact details, location and safety-event information when enabled or submitted, and device or diagnostic information. Firebase, Twilio, Resend, mobile platforms, carriers, and other providers may process information to provide their services. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

9. Availability, warranty, and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free software, message delivery, location accuracy, or any particular safety outcome. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GDA Innovations LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from or related to use of or inability to use the service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum permitted by law. These Terms do not limit liability where such a limitation is prohibited by law.

10. Suspension, changes, and governing law

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if your use of SafeMode+ poses a risk to others, violates these Terms, or interferes with service integrity.

We may update the service or these Terms. When a material change is made, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice in the service or by another appropriate means. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida unless your local laws require otherwise. Disputes shall be resolved in Polk County, Florida, except where prohibited by consumer protection laws in your region.

11. Contact

SafeMode+ is provided by GDA Innovations LLC. For questions about these Terms, contact us through the SafeMode+ in-app support channel. Do not use in-app support to request emergency assistance.
